AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving

In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the official release, "A mysterious confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret sect.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Transformations

The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Features

Players who finish the adventure will receive an unique katana in addition to several artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Content

This patch also introduces the game's third free story content, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive techniques: Naoe debuts a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
